After suffering a one-goal loss at home against UCLA, giving the Bruins their first win in Palo Alto in almost ten years, water polo looks to regroup with a trip to Stockton against the Tigers.

Softball -- vs. St. Mary's, 6PM, Smith Family Stadium
Softball begins fall exhibition with an Alumni weekend night game against the Gaels.

The Stanford men hope to continue to improve after Walker Kehrer and Robert Stineman fell just short of the Doubles title last weekend in the Battle of the Bay.

While the men travel to Seattle, the women stay on campus for their regional championship with Ellen Tsay leading the Cardinal as they compete in the ITA Northwest Regional Championships.

The fencing team kicks off their year with the alumni meet in one of only two meets on campus this year.

Men's Water Polo -- vs. Air Force, 4PM PT, Santa Clara, CA
The men conclude their weekend with matches against Brown and Air Force on the last day of the Santa Clara Rodeo Tournament.

While other schools have midnight madness, Stanford has "Midday Madness" as the men's basketball team officially kicks off their season with a scrimmage in Maples available for free to the public.  A Fan Fest in the concourse, several meet-and-greets, and several skills competitions will take place before the scrimmage starting at 1PM.

Women's Lacrosse -- Stanford Playday, All Day, Stanford Practice Field
The lacrosse team closes out its home fall schedule with a playday on the practice field featuring Stanford, Cal, UC Davis, Fresno State, and St. Mary's.

Men's Crew -- Head of the Charles, All Day, Boston, MA
Men's Crew -- Wine Country Classic, All Day, Petaluma, CA
The men kick off their season with the "A" boat on a trip to Boston for the prestigious Head of the Charles regatta, featuring world-class competition and several future Olympic crews.  Other Cardinal crew members will stay in California and take part in the Wine Country Classic here in the Bay Area.

The women, meanwhile, after a very successful trip to Oklahoma head to Boston with some of the men to take part in the Head of the Charles.

The men wrap up their matches on the third day of competition in the ITA Regional Championships.

Women's Tennis -- ITA Northwest Regional Championships, All Day, Taube Tennis Center
The women, meanwhile, hope to end the weekend on a successful note on the final day of the ITA Regionals at Stanford.

Sailing -- @ SDYC Match Race Invitational, Women's Pacific Coast Championships, @ Hoyt Trophy, Gashler Alumni Regatta; TBA, All Day, TBA, TBA; San Diego, CA, Redwood City, CA, Cranston, RI, Redwood City, CA
The sailing teams all hope to have a successful time out on the water before returning back to California for the Gashlet Alumni Regatta to close out Alumni Weekend.

There are a lot of events this weekend to coincide with the return of alumni for Homecoming, so if you're in the area, make sure and attend one of the many Stanford events and support Stanford's athletes!
