Stanford Helmet Concept
Here's an interesting idea for a Stanford helmet from designer Charles Sollars. You can check out all of Sollars' Pac-12 designs here. I think I like the current block 'S' just fine.

That tree design looks ridiculous, we’d get laughed off the field.
Some of them are nostalgic for nostalgic sake
And they don’t work even remotely close as a helmet. The black Stanford helmet with the official school logo (not the athletic department’s block S) looked awesome. That’s the kind of helmet that should be worn with the black uniform (I didn’t care much for the matte black helmet this year for Notre Dame).
As far as the others there are some definite duds. There are also some designs that look amazing, like the red Arizona, ghost Cougar, glossy blue UCLA, black SC, ghost CU, and the gold Husky helmets.
And thankfully, there were no “mirror” helmet designs. How the Ducks managed to get away with that at the Rose Bowl is beyond me.

Definitely agree with you on the black Stanford helmet
The official Block S looks awesome in general. The current helmets are fine too, but I like the bigger size of the ‘S’ in these helmet designs.
I liked the matte helmet design
The problem was that the “S” looked too much like a sticker.
I think the whole uniform design looked better in pictures/close up than on TV.
Yeah, I liked the matte black helmet
But the rest of that uniform was pretty awful, especially if you were at the game. The numbers were really difficult to read, and the red tops/red pants just didn’t work.

A thousand times no. I’m generally not in favor of alternate uniforms for Stanford because I just think yhe current look is so classic and you shouldn’t mess with that identity. But this is a step beyond that and just terrible in its own right.
