Tarver leaves for across the Bay
Jason Tarver, co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the Cardinal, has decided to move on back to the NFL with the Oakland Raiders as their new defensive coordinator.
You may remember Tarver as a coach who graduated from Santa Clara (which does not play football) with a bachelors of science in chemistry and a master's degree from UCLA in biochemistry and molecular biology.
We wish Coach Tarver all the best in his new endeavors with the Raiders.

This video
brings back memories of AJ Tarpley’s INT of Matt Barkley. Looks like Coach Tarver has a decent arm. He’ll be missed. Looking forward to seeing who replaces him.
Best of luck to Tarver
But any chance we can lure Vic Fangio back from the 9ers? :-)
That's highly unrealistic
Personally I’ll be angry unless we hire DJ Durkin again. irony-conveying emoticon here
In reality, I think this is a good thing
Tarver was a good coach, and you hate to lose him, but Stanford is clearly becoming an excellent spot for talented young assistants looking to jump to the next level. That means that you should be able to replace talent with talent, when the time comes.
Idolizing Robb Nen since 2002...
