Vegas releases win total projection for 2014 Stanford Football

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The sportsbooks see a little step back from the Cardinal this fall

You can tell the football season is getting closer. ESPN switched over to the 2014 schedule on the teams tab. Week one lines have been released. And now, Vegas has released projected win totals for 2014.

Here's a list from the Las Vegas sportsbook, which includes Stanford:

As you can see, the Cardinal is set at 8.5 wins for this fall, which seems like a fair line for Stanford given the questions on both sides of the ball and difficult schedule. However, it may be lowballing a team that did go to the Rose Bowl a season ago.

There are a couple Pac-12 teams included in that sheet as well:

  • Oregon - 10.5 wins
  • UCLA - 9.5 wins
  • USC - 8.5 wins
  • Washington - 9 wins
  • Arizona State - 7.5 wins

So what do you think? Is Stanford's line too low? Are expectations on par with USC, but behind UCLA or Washington? Is Oregon's line too high?
