Buck/Cardinal did a fantastic little piece on one of Stanford's longest tenured head coaches, the man known simply as "Nine".
Andrew Luck, who's
improving not hurting his draft stock at the NFL Combine today, recorded video shoutouts to a few lucky Twitter users earlier this month. The videos, which are part of Gatorade's "Win From Within" campaign are unintentionally amusing. Luck's face in the final frame just screams, "How many more of these do I have to do?"
My favorite part of this beautiful Fiesta Bowl video by Alex Simon, '14, and Sam Pressman, '12, is the split screen footage of Andrew Luck's TD pass to Ty Montgomery. (via @StanfordAlumni)
Barry J. Sanders rushes for a TD in today's US Army All-American Bowl. Sanders will announce his college choice later today and is expected to choose Stanford over Oklahoma State. UPDATE: Sanders is coming to the Farm! "I get a chance to play with the greatest student-athletes in the world. They've been improving each year and they've got a bright future."
Don't hurt me. I like your team actually and sharing my 'Ducks' hype video here. You guys should of moved up in BCS standings... sorry about that. I look forward to the game on the 12th as it will be huge (and we have had some crazy battles in the past years). Video isn't meant to insult anyone, just fun :) Maybe someone will make a Stanford version?? Best to you all.
Episode 1 of Stanford's original series "The Program" showcases some of the unconventional workouts that strength and conditioning coach Shannon Turley has designed for the team (via the Cardinal Channel). I really like the wall of Stanford's victims (with scores) on display in the weight room.
Here are a few highlights from Sunday's Midday Madness event at Maples Pavilion. Josh Huestis won the dunk contest and freshman PG Chasson Randle had a nice drive in the scrimmage. (via The Cardinal Channel)
