There's some mildly exciting news to report out of today's David Shaw press conference. Kevin Hogan will apparently see more action in Saturday's game against Colorado.
#Stanford coach David Shaw says he plans to play backup QB Kevin Hogan more vs. #Colorado b/c "he's earned it." Josh Nunes still starter.

Shaw said Josh Nunes remains the Cardinal's starter and was noncommittal when asked if Hogan could play his way into the starting job.
Possible for Kevin Hogan to take over as starting QB? Shaw: Anything is possible. #Stanford

Hogan has appeared in four games and his only pass attempt was a 9-yard touchdown to Levine Toilolo in Big Game. He's also rushed seven times for 16 yards, though that includes a 12-yard loss on a sack against Washington State.
Nunes' inconsistent play has left the door open for a possible QB change. It's become increasingly clear in recent weeks that if Shaw decides to go that route, it'll be to Hogan and not Brett Nottingham.
