Ty Montgomery Out Against UCLA

According to ESPN's Kevin Gemmell, a shoulder injury will prevent star wide receiver Ty Montgomery from playing against UCLA on Friday.

In his press conference Coach Shaw stated:

"Ty will be out of this game," Shaw said during Tuesday's Pac-12 coaches' teleconference. "He will not play this game and hopefully we'll get him ready for the bowl game, which looks like a distinct possibility."

"X-rays on the shoulder came back negative Saturday, and Montgomery was scheduled to undergo an MRI this week."

UCLA and Stanford are both coming off of big wins over their rivals, but the loss of Ty Montgomery has to be a concern for the Cardinal offense.
