Cardinal Runs Over Arizona, 34-10

NCAA Football: Stanford at Arizona Casey Sapio-USA TODAY Sports

Stanford headed into the “PAC-12 After Dark” game on the road in Tucson, and stormed the barn of the Arizona Wildcats on their homecoming with their most convincing victory of the season,

Junior RB Christian McCaffrey returned to stellar form with 169 yards on the ground with 3 TDs, including scoring his first TD on the road as a member of the Cardinal.

The Stanford defense was the real star of the show as DL Solomon Thomas and the Cardinal frustrated the Wildcats attack at every turn, and just dominated the game.

Cardinal QB Keller Chryst started his first game under center to a “mixed-bag performance”. Chryst looked shaky on several throws, and tended to look like a freshman with bright eyes for a good portion of the game, but still ended up going 14-30 for 104 yards and 2 TDs.

The Cardinal increased their record to 5-3, with one victory away from being Postseason eligible for the 8th year in a row, while Arizona drops to 2-6, and could be heading to their worst season while under the guidance of Head Coach Rich Rodriguez.
