Dallas Lloyd sets the tone for the Stanford Defense with INT

This week Stanford had big questions about the banged up defense coming into this week, but former quarterback Dallas Lloyd came up with a huge interception for the Stanford defense. The Cardinal are looking for a spark on defense as they are hampered by injuries. Let’s just hope this sets the tone! On that first defensive series the Cardinal played with a sense of urgency. Let’s see how long this secondary can hold up and if the Cardinal offense can control the clock to keep an inexperienced secondary off the field.

The Cardinal didn’t capitalize off the turnover which could haunt the Cardinal later on. The Washington State Huskies struck first as the Huskies lead 7-0 at the end of the first quarter after Washington State quarterback Luke Falk hit Tavares Martin Jr. for a 5 yard touchdown. The Cardinal will need to capitalize on just about every opportunity they have to gain an advantage.
