Struggles Continue
The struggles continued for Stanford on offense and defense. Tonight we found out a lot about the Stanford Cardinal and to be honest we found out that Stanford isn’t very good right now. Last week the offensive line was exposed and dominated by the Washington Huskies and this week the struggles on offense and defense continued.
Stanford did not score an offensive touchdown in the first half, but 7 points were scored on an interception returned by cornerback Frank Buncom. Unfortunately the secondary were on their heels the entire night and were unable to stop the air raid offense of the Washington State Cougars and Mike Leach. The defense gave up a total of 458 yards and Washington State controlled the time of possession having the ball a little over 30 mins. To make matters worse, something was nagging Christian McCaffrey as he went out of the game in the 3rd quarter and did not return.
How will Stanford respond going forward?
That is a question we’re all wondering but I think if you are fan you are very concerned.
