Cardinal volleyball tied an NCAA record with its seventh national title after they took down the fourth-seeded Texas Longhorns in four sets (25-21, 25-19, 18-25, 25-21).

The No. 6 seed Stanford tied Penn State for most volleyball titles all time by capturing the program's first championship since 2004.

The Cardinal championship coalition was led all season by a core of four freshmen. Outside hitter Kathryn Plummer (18 kills), libero Morgan Hentz (27 digs), setter Jenna Gray and middle blocker Audriana Fitzsimmons (10 kills and contributed to 12 Cardinal blocks on the front line) all played pivotal roles in the NCAA tournament run.

Redshirt senior outside hitter Inky Ajanaku, who sat out last season with a serious knee injury, added 16 kills and 8 blocks and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player. She, along with Plummer, Hentz and Gray were named to the All-Tournament Team.
