Stanford Ranked 7th in Preseason Amway Coaches Poll

Stanford starts the preseason ranked in the top 10

The Preseason Amway Coaches poll was released earlier this week. Stanford ranks 7th, higher than any of their scheduled opponents for 2016. It seems that the Pac-12 media who picked the Cardinal to win the conference back in July are not the only ones high on Stanford.

Several Stanford competitors, however, are on this list including: Notre Dame at number 9; USC at 17; Washington at 18; Oregon at 22, and UCLA at 24. At the top of the rankings was of course Alabama followed by Clemson at 2, Oklahoma at 3, Florida state 4, and Ohio State 5.

While the Preseason rankings are fun to look at, they have no bearing on who will make the College Football National Championship. The full rankings are below:
