Ryan Burns, Peter Kalambayi & others to return in 2017

Disregard those transfer rumors. Ryan Burns will be back at Stanford.

In a release published on Stanford Athletics’ website, a number of 5th-year seniors announced their intentions to return to the Farm next season, including Burns, Peter Kalambayi, Eric Cotton, Mike Tyler, Kevin Palma, and David Bright.

In a statement to GoStanford.com, Burns said this:

"Stanford is the best school in the country with the best people in the country. I figured I have a great opportunity in coming back, getting another degree and learning from some phenomenal coaches for another year. It's also very important to me to prove to this team and to myself that I can be so much better than I was last year."

This is good news for Stanford QB depth, which otherwise would have been a very thin depth chart with KJ Costello as the only scholarship QB on the roster until the fall.
