Not to be outshone by either the offense or the defense, Stanford special teams just put points on the board as Stanford extends its lead, 28-7. As Oregon attempted the first punt of the game by either team, Curtis Robinson got a hand on the ball and blocked it. The ball was picked up by Brandon Simmons for a touchdown:

This was Stanford’s first touchdown return on a punt block in nearly a decade. The last one was scored in 2008 against TCU by Richard Sherman .
