We know that Stanford Women’s basketball has qualified for the NCAA Tournament by virtue of winning the Pac-12 Conference Championship. What we do not yet know is what seed they will get and where they will be playing. ESPN’s Charlie Creme is projecting Stanford as a 2-seed playing in the same region as the Connecticut Huskies who went a perfect 32-0 this season. UCONN will be the number one see overall and is the odds-on favorite to win the whole tournament.
The Stanford Cardinal went 28-5 this season in women’s basketball and are currently ranked 6th in both the AP and USA Today Polls. Eight Stanford women's basketball student-athletes also earned Pac-12 All-Academic honors. Brittany McPhee, Erica McCall, Shannon Coffee, Kaylee Johnson, Briana Roberson, Alexa Romano, Karlie Samuelson, Alanna Smith all received the Pac-12 conference honors.
