Houston Texans select Justin Reid with 68th pick of NFL Draft

The former Stanford safety finds his pro home

With the 68th pick in the NFL Draft, the Houston Texans selected Justin Reid to help bolster their secondary.

In 2017, Reid had 99 tackles (52 solo), 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, five interceptions, and six pass breakups.

Reid’s highlights in his final year on the Farm also include:

  • FWAA All-America second team
  • AP All-America second team
  • All-Pac-12 first team
  • Pac-12 All-Academic second team
  • Jim Thorpe Award semifinalist
  • Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week (Oct. 9)•
  • First among Pac-12 players and 11th nationally with five interceptions
  • Second among Pac-12 players with 0.4 interceptions/game
  • 14th among Pac-12 players with 7.1 tackles/game
