Stanford picked up a commitment from four-star athlete Tristan Sinclair on Wednesday.
Sinclair, from Danville’s San Ramon high school in the East Bay, picked the Cardinal over offers from Notre Dame, USC, UCLA, Oregon, Cal, and others.

247 Sports’ composite rankings have Sinclair as the #18 athlete nationally, and the #254 recruit nationally.
Sinclair told 247 that he’s expected to play linebacker on the Farm:
“They see me as an inside linebacker,” said Sinclair. “Coach Hansen and I have already had some time to sit down and talk scheme and I’m really excited about getting coached by him.”
Sinclair’s dad, Andy Sinclair, played offensive line for Stanford in the 1980s.
