Shortly after he was offered, junior Joshua Karty committed to the Cardinal explaining that Stanford was the “school that has been my dream ever since I can remember!” He committed to Stanford over Georgia and in-state North Carolina.

"Epic" may be an understatement for Day 1 of the @KohlsKicking National Underclassman Challenge. #KohlsShowcase pic.twitter.com/h4A1CXUhuI
He will join scholarship player Jet Toner who will be a redshirt Junior this coming season as well as walk-on and current redshirt sophomore Collin Riccitelli. It bodes well for the Cardinal’s depth at kickers as Jet Toner was sorely missed this season with an injury. Collin Riccitelli struggled in relief of Jet Toner, noticeably missing a much needed PAT in the Washington game.
In addition to excellent athletes, the Western Alamance High Schooler has excellent academics. The North Carolinan is a stellar student boasting a 4.0 unweighted GPA and a 4.56 GPA.
