Currently Cardinal, 10/11: Stanford begins football practice

The Cardinal are back on the practice fields ahead of the 2020 football season

The Stanford Cardinal are back in action, hitting the practice fields ahead of the 2020 football season that will span six games with a seventh game based upon the Pac-12 seeds after the regular season.

With the four California teams finally returning to full football practices, the entire conference has officially begun their fall camps and all systems appear to be ready to go for the November 7 start date on the calendar.

Stanford opens the season against Oregon on November 7 and began their fall training camp circuit this past weekend.

With availability set to be all virtual and with extremely limited participation from the media at the practices, it was ever so nice to see the Stanford social media teams treat us with some sights and sounds at practice.

It might look a bit different in 2020, but your Stanford Cardinal football team is back on the practice fields. Safety and sanitization first, of course.

Head coach David Shaw had his first (virtual) press conference of the season, something that we’ll all have to continue to get used to throughout the 2020 campaign.

So, ahead of the daily links below — the Stanford accounts also gave us the ability to GET EXTREMELY HYPE ahead of this season:
