The Stanford Cardinal are just days away from their season opener in the shortened 2020 Pac-12 football season, and though a ton of mysteries remain around the opening and ongoing process about this season, one of those questions was answered by the conference this week.
Though we can’t be certain we get an entire six-game season in at this point, we can be certain that the conference will sure try. As such, the Week 1 schedule has been set.
We have long since known that the USC Trojans and Arizona State Sun Devils are set to open the season at 9:00 am local time, 12:00 pm ET on the Fox Big Noon Kickoff, but we hadn’t been clued in to the rest of the conference’s 10 teams.
But we know now.
Your Stanford Cardinal football team will be headed to Eugene, Oregon to take on the Oregon Ducks at 7:30 pm ET, 4:30 pm PT, and will air on ABC. It is unsure who the announcers will be, but that certainly seems to me like that’s the ABC Night Game of the Week with Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit on the call. We’ll monitor that.
Stanford debuts their new-look 2020 football roster with a ton of key pieces set to return, including QB Davis Mills, whereas the Ducks will debut an entire new offensive line and new starting quarterback after years with Justin Herbert at the helm.
More on the Cardinal vs Ducks in the days to come.
Here’s the full schedule for the conference on November 7:
