The Stanford Cardinal can improve their record to above .500 with a win to close out the Pac-12 regular season and against the Oregon State Beavers in Week 6 of the Pac-12 football schedule.

The Cardinal are entering into this matchup on the backs of consecutive wins, against Cal and Washington. They’ll close out their regular season on the road, having to have made up a temporary residence in Corvallis ahead of this matchup. Stanford will have finished the season on a three-game road trip that saw them stay in Seattle, Washington for a week and in Oregon for another due to Santa Clara County ordinances that prohibited contact sports.

The Beavers enter this matchup with the Cardinal after a hard-fought loss to the Utah Utes that saw them put forth a valiant effort without starting quarterback Tristen Gebbia and starting running back Jermar Jefferson. While Gebbia remains sidelined for the season, Jefferson is back in the mix, meaning the Cardinal run defense will absolutely need to play up to their best. Jefferson is widely considered to be one of the best running backs, not only in the conference, but in the country.

The Cardinal can finish with a record above .500 while the Beavers can get back to .500 for the season with a win themselves.
