In a statement from Stanford Athletics spokesperson Brian Risso, we’ve learned that the Stanford Cardinal football team has officially rescinded its scholarship offer to four-star CB Ayden Hector after his involvement in a disturbing case.

“Stanford has rescinded an incoming undergraduate for fall 2020 who was scheduled to be a football student-athlete,” they wrote to The Daily.

Hector was one of five Eastside Catholic High School football players accused in an accusation of severe misconduct that took place with an underage girl. No charges were filed, apparently because of lack of evidence but it was enough for the Cardinal to rescind his scholarship offer.

Meanwhile, two more players who were named in the incident have signed on with Cal and Washington, though their names have not officially been released.

This is a developing story that we will keep tabs on here.
