The Stanford Cardinal Class of 2021 received another big boost on Tuesday, when three-star safety Jaden Slocum committed to head coach David Shaw and Co.
Slocum, who took to Twitter for the announcement, thanked everyone who offered him, but made it clear, he’s a Stanford Man.
“A picture is worth a thousand words and I’m a man of few,” Slocum’s announcement started. “Thank you to the schools who honored me (with) offers. Thank you to all of my coaches, teammates, teachers and family that helped me get to the position I am in now. #CardClass21”

Slocum was just recently selected to the Class 7A All-State team by Recruit Georgia, the site who also placed fellow Stanford commits Joshua Moore on their Class 4A All-State team and punter Connor Weselman on the Class 3A team as well.
Slocum ranks as the nation’s 42nd-best safety prospect for the class of 2021 and the 568th-ranked player overall, all according to the 247Sports Composite ranking.
A consensus three-star, he sits as the 45th-best player in the state of Georgia, as he hails from Alpharetta High School in Alpharetta, Georgia.
He had at least 20 other scholarship offers and was recently offered by Florida State, Michigan and Oregon. At 6’2, 181 pounds, Slocum becomes the third player from Georgia to commit to Stanford for 2021, the fifth defensive back and the fourth safety in this class.
Slocum also represents the sixth out-of-state prospect to pledge his services to Stanford for this class.
Congratulations, Jaden! Welcome to the Cardinal Family!
