The Class of 2021 is getting sharper each week it seems, and the Stanford Cardinal received a big leg up when Connor Weselman committed to head coach David Shaw and Co.
Weselman took to social media to announce his decision, writing a letter of thanks before stating his wishes:
“It is my goal to continue the Kicker U tradition! Thank you to all of the coaches that have recruited me and believe in me. Finally, thank you to Coach Shaw, Coach Alamar, Coach Moran, and the rest of the Stanford football staff for the opportunity to play for such an amazing program. With that being said ...
“I AM 100% COMMITTED TO STANFORD UNIVERSITY!!”

It didn’t take long for the fellow commits in the class of 2021 to react as well, with QB commit Ari Patu tweeting: “Let’s goooo!!! An absolute rocket of a leg.” and new FB/TE commit Shield Taylor saying: “The right decision!!”
According to the Kohl’s Professional Camp rankings, Weselman is the No. 6 ranked punter in the class and had at least five other major college football scholarship offers. He earned a five-star ranking from the camp and had multiple hang times on punts of 5.0 seconds.
He stands 6’4, 190 pounds and truly does have a rocket on his leg.
Welcome to the Cardinal family, Connor!
