The Stanford Cardinal recruiting class for 2021 has certainly taken its time to develop but one of the biggest pieces to date has now fallen into place.
Three-star offensive tackle Jack Leyrer, all 6-foot-6, 275 pounds of him has committed to play football at Stanford at the next level.
Leyrer heads to The Farm from Dallas, Texas and Highland Park High School. He’s a three-star recruit but fielded at least 32 scholarship offers from several huge programs in his home state, most notably Baylor, Texas and Texas Tech.
He thanked those schools before announcing his decision.
“I am honored by all of the schools that gave me an opportunity to play collegiate football. With that being said, I would like to announce my commitment to ... Stanford University”
Leyrer is the nation’s 77th-ranked offensive tackle prospect for the class of 2021 and ranks as the 123rd-best player in the state of Texas for this class. Each of those rankings coming from the 247Sports Industry Composite.
He joins 10 others in the Card class of 2021 as it’s starting to shape into form.
