Luck, asked by the New York Times to comment on the [Suck for Luck] phenomenon, dug deep into his Stanford vocabulary to say quite eloquently: "I think it's stupid."

Hilariously, Mark Madsen, who led Stanford to a Final Four appearance, makes a cameo at the end."

Stanford's win streak now longest
"Stanford owns the nation's longest FBS winning streak (10 games) heading into tonight. #gostanford" - @StanfordFball
Auburn's loss piles on the pressure for tonight's game against Arizona as Luck and the Cardinal look for eleven.

Oh God. Luck to the Seahawks?
Football Outsiders released its DVOA rankings today. According to the model, the first pick in the 2012 NFL draft could go to ... Seattle. Andrew Luck playing for Pete Carroll? Ugh.

NYT gives more love
NYTimes.com carries AP story which led with Luck giving Shaw a game ball, and then glowingly covered the win in detail. Nice to have some of those East Coasters getting a little influence about where Stanford stands ...

Stanford projected to go 8-1, finish second in Pac-12 North
Thanks to those of you who participated in last week's Pac-12 predictions survey. We had over 1000 responses! Obviously Pac-12 fans have high expectations for Stanford, as the Cardinal goes 8-1 with its lone loss resulting from a close matchup against Oregon.

National title hype?!
Here is a site that has us going 11-1, wonder who they have us losing too? We should beat the Ducks, Trojans, and Irish. That Luck tackle was sick!

Stanford Women's Volleyball Sweeps Rice
With Houston-area native Chiney Ogwumike in the house, the No. 6 Stanford women's volleyball team swept Rice (25-20, 25-18, 25-13) at the Rice Invitational.
Karissa Cook was named tournament MVP. Playing in front of a large contingent of family and friends, Jessica Walker had a kill and two blocks, while fellow Houston native Mary Ellen Luck had four digs and an ace.
Elsewhere, the No. 2 Stanford women's soccer team had its game against No. 20 Georgetown postponed until Monday at 9 a.m. PST as a result of Hurricane Irene.
