I forgot to post this yesterday, but the Stanford Football media guide was released in conjunction with the Pac-12 Media Day down in LA. Like a growing number of media guides in college athletics, it's wholly online and is interactive. Click here for 229 pages of an overdose of the color red.

After the jump, some interesting finds.

• Condi Rice makes at least one appearance.
• Stanford is currently in the midst of its fourth best winning streak. A win over SJSU will tie it with the 9-consecutive wins from 1951. If Stanford should start out 6-0 this season (meaning it is undefeated heading into the game against Washington), it would mark the longest winning streak by Stanford, eclipsing the 13 straight wins from 1939-1941. A 7-0 record gives Stanford its longest unbeaten streak since Pop Warner.
• Stanford has fewer players from California and Texas (53) than from all other states (59).
• Josh Nunes is expected to be Andrew Luck's backup while Robbie Picazo is third in command.
• Griff Whalen won out the starting position at WR, but co-standout WR from the Cardinal & White game Drew Terrell will probably be splitting the time with him.
• Chris Owusu is listed only as a Kickoff Returner on the depth chart -- for now.
• After serving as a volunteer assistant last year, Tavita Pritchard has been promoted to Defensive Assistant (that prompted a cocked-head reaction from me).
• The photo spread from last year's Orange Bowl is pretty neat.
• Most of the photos of Stanford Stadium are from last year, and the majority are from the USC game.
• Yes, Shayne Skov's eyeblack does make an appearance. Sadly, his mohawk was covered by a helmet.
• Casey Moore and several other Big Game standouts are featured slightly.
• Stanford is marketing itself as "The Nation's Premier University" and if recent media guides are any indication, all of Stanford's guides this year will have a continued emphasis on academics to bookend the media guide.
