2011 Football Media Guide Hits the Net

Visit GoStanford.com for more info

I forgot to post this yesterday, but the Stanford Football media guide was released in conjunction with the Pac-12 Media Day down in LA. Like a growing number of media guides in college athletics, it's wholly online and is interactive. Click here for 229 pages of an overdose of the color red.

After the jump, some interesting finds.

Good stuff.

Have schedule-posters been printed?

I'm not sure

I saw some posters a few weeks ago in downtown PA that had the schedule on them with “The Cardinal Rules!” on it, but the poster was barely bigger than a sheet of legal sized paper. It may have been a promotional poster for season tickets, though.

By the way

Everyone should check out p. 45 of the guide for an interesting photo of Luck.

Is Josh nunes

A sophomore? Has he redshirted??

Academically, he’s a junior. He redshirted his first year, so technically he has sophomore eligibility.

It’ll be interesting to see how he develops and what kind of QB he is should he ever have to see play, whether due to injury (knock on wood) or in garbage time. All the QBs I saw in April improved by leaps and bounds over what I had seen in February. Despite losing a Heisman-quality QB next year, I don’t think it’ll be like falling into the Grand Canyon in terms of development.
