In this edition of Cardinal CounTree, Matt Vassar peers into the crystal ball to see what's in store for the Stanford team. He talks about which players are graduating, which players are replacing them, and whom you should be looking at to be the stars of next year's team. And with so many options through Stanford's current players and incoming recruits, it's looking like 2016 might once again be the Year of the Cardinal.

What about...
I agree on reinforcements stepping in on OLine and weapons in backfield.
Total gold at DB spots thru 2020.
1) 3 WRs isn’t enough in Pac12.
What about JJ Whiteside, and fastest guy on team I Brandt-Sims (10.8 100m) ?
2) What is talk about RSF Wes Annan and verbal commit Mike Williams out of TX as a Frosh next fall? If DBs can help as Frosh, why not DTs?
And don’t we get Like Kaumatule back for one more season at DE?
3) Is big, fast Sean Barton available as a LB, FB, or TB — like Owen Marecic?
Ditto Curtis Robinson as 4star frosh LB, who plays like Sua Cravens at USC.
4) What is status of Dan Marx at bulldozing FB? Ask McCaff how many yards he owes to Marx.
5) Who’s the backup to Chryst — Burns or newcomer KJ Costello ? Burns will be initially, then watch.
6) Could incoming frosh Beau Bisharat (another Tony Gerhart style TB) get some time in short yardage? Who will replace R.Wright from inside 5yd line? Cam Scarlett?
Road schedule sucks in 2016.
Then 2017 sets up as a Playoff year.
USC: Kessler gone. Cal: Goff goes 1Rd to NFL. Oregon loses Adams and a LOT on Defense.
Wash may be bigger threat in North.
UCLA will come back with a solid pipeline, but loses all Pac12 talent on Def.
