Just when some folks may have started to give up on Stanford men's basketball the Cardinal pulled off a major upset over the 11th-ranked Oregon Ducks. Here are some highlights, and recaps from the 76-72 victory.

"Allen matched his career-high with 25 points, making four of five from long range and nine of 12 overall, to lead Stanford to a 76-72 upset over the Ducks.

"He came out extremely focused," Cardinal Dorian Pickens said of Allen. "You could see it in early shooting. He helped set the tone and we felt we needed to match that intensity."

Pickens scored 10 of his 16 points in the second half and Grant Verhoeven finished with a career-high 13 for the Cardinal, who improved to 2-2 against ranked opponents.

The game remained in doubt until Michael Humphrey blocked a shot with 4 seconds remaining and Marcus Allen hit two free throws with 3 seconds to seal the win for the Cardinal (12-11, 5-7 Pac-12), who ended a season-worst four-game losing streak."

"The Ducks lacked defensive intensity and let the Cardinal shoot 69 percent from three-point range. Oregon was also out-rebounded 33-25.

Oregon and Stanford each made a pair of three-pointers to start the game. Rosco Allen scored the first six points for the Cardinal and dominated the opening half. The senior led all first half scorers with 14 points and finished with a game high 25 points.

. . . The Cardinal made their first four threes-pointers and led 15-13 at the first media timeout.

The Ducks fought back and tied the game after Tyler Dorsey converted a tough layup. The freshman has struggled this month and had a mixed first half. After multiple turnovers, Dorsey led the Ducks going into the locker room with eight points."
