Stanford Men's Basketball: Cardinal Falls to The Cal Bears 76-61

Despite defeating Cal earlier in the season, Saturday was a tough day for Stanford basketball, who lost to Cal 76-61. After Stanford got to a 6-0 lead early, Cal was able to tie it up and never look back. All game, Cal ran the floor with five players scoring in the double digits, and Cal's Jordan Matthews led all scorers with eighteen. Meanwhile, Rosco Allen led the Stanford players with sixteen points and was only one of two Cardinal to reach double digits. Stanford's biggest struggle today was shooting. They shot twenty five percent from behind the arc and thirty eight percent from the field. With today's loss, Stanford is now 11-10 and 4-6 in Pac 12 play. All in all, Stanford never really found their groove on Saturday afternoon, but hopefully, they can turn things around next Thursday against Oregon State.

End the madness, fire Dawkins

Can anyone think of a single other school that would tolerate one tournament bid in eight seasons after missing ONE tournament from 1995-2008? How does this empty suit still have a job?

The contract

Or more specifically, that terrible contract extension he got a few years ago.

Unless miracle of miracles happens in Las Vegas, he’s most likely coached his final game against Cal in Palo Alto.

What's supposed to happen in Las Vegas?

it would be just our luck for the team to get hot and win the pac-10 tournament out of nowhere

wouldn’t it?
