Let's go, Stanford

Hey, why don't you muff a punt and give UCLA an easy score

Classic

This has all the makings of the 2017 Underachievement Bowl

Definitely so far

Who else wants to see Costello next series?

Shaw is a stubborn fool.

Costello is our only hope

Anyone can see Chryst isn’t good. Burns is even worse.

Why is Mora freaking

That was an obvious targeting. We may not like the rule, but it is the rule. Leading with helmet is targeting.

He's freaking out bc they've been doing for years and are finally being called for it

How is Mora

employed by UCLA. He has had some exceptional talent on multiple teams. The results say it all. His tantrums are over the top.

Ucla has been targeting since the last couple years

FINALLY the refs are calling it

Well we got Costello in

But OL isnt any better folks. If they cant pass pro for Chryst, they cant pass pro for Costello. If the QB is under duress every play, he won’t succeed.

Pass Blocking could be better but...

It would help if we had a QB who played without blinders.

Yeah its hard when you just come in for a few plays

It worked for Hogan in his first stint against Kal, but that’s because Hogan was actually very good, despite most of us thinking he wasn’t very good because Andrew. Chryst is too slow to release (especially with sub par pass pro) and stares down his targets. Bad coaching development is likely the culprit, because it isn’t his arm.

We've made great coaching hires on the defensive side the past few years

The same can’t be said for the offense

Sometimes I wonder if Shaw is afraid of bringing in strong offensive minds who will challenge his ineptitude as a play caller

Come to mind for me as well

Bloomgren really needs to go and be replaced with a real OC to whom Shaw delegates pretty much all of the play calls. Trouble is Shaw will never do that.

EXACTLY. He wants to be the one calling the plays when he sucks at it but won't admit it

Good coaches, like Saban, understand their limitations.

Our O-line development hasn't been what it used to be either

Its terrible

These are all very good+ recruits and they havent been developed. The talent is there, the development is not.

This sucks

D is doing a good job early against Rosen

Yeah, they're making them as bad as the Stanford offense

So that’s kind of a win.

At least our defense is playing better

Just change the play priority

to pass first with Costello for a few series to get them out of the box
