It’s been an interesting Big Game week—er, weeks. First the game gets postponed and now Stanford has flipped a recruit from their cross-Bay rival.
Three-star tight end Bradley Archer, a native of Livermore, committed to the Cardinal on Tuesday.
Archer’s tweet:
Archer is ranked by the 247 Sports composite as the #32 tight end in the nation.
Archer is also the fourth Bay Area native in the Cardinal’s 2019 class, joining Bishop O’Dowd (Oakland) running back Austin Jones, San Ramon Valley outside linebacker Tristan Sinclair, and defensive end Joshua Pakola from St. Francis High in Mountain View.

I really hate that recruits can be flipped in this way. Why bother having guys commit if they can just change their minds?
OTOH, if someone has to flip, I’d prefer they flip to Stanford. The fact that this particular guy flipped from Cal, during Big Game week, is just gravy.
