Mills is looking pretty darn good. They need to open the play book and give him some more opportunities besides between the tackles. Nice TD pass to Colby.
We should have put up 48 points as I predicted lol. Idk about Coach Shaws offensive approach… a little too conservative and predictable. We didnt have 3rd and long because of execution, we had 3rd and longs because of poor playcalling…
Granted mills looked like montana/brady compared to what chryst did when we were there last time. But I have to see it against a better defense with the pressure to score on every drive. Costello delivered an amazing performance vs UW in 2017 (although he had bryce love doing his things).
Again this is only Mill’s 2nd full game since Dec 2016! Compare this game to the game against USC and the progression is very obvious. Look man, The Cardinal is back!!! we have several young talented players and DMILLS is just getting warmed up! It’s cool if KJ is back next week but it’s nice for everyone to finally get a sample of what I’ve been screaming about! #Go Cardinal
He seemed to have a nice soft touch on a lot of his throws, putting them where his receivers could catch them. More so than Costello recently – for whatever reason. I also like the times he spun away from pressure and delivered an accurate pass to someone. Plus the TD catch was pretty special. He also looked calm. Less fired up than Costello but seemingly in control.
While I do not think we have a QB controversy because (i) Shaw will default to the more senior player, (ii) Shaw does not let players lose their job because of injury, and (iii) KJ has earned the benefit of the doubt after last season – I do hope Shaw is prepared to sub out for Costello if he proves ineffective against Washington. He has not been in synch with his receivers. And it seems we have an option.
Giving up 28 points against OSU is not good however. We were lucky their kicker missed a field goal and that Wedington had a great runback at the end. But, at this point, I’ll take any win.

Well atleast we are still leading
Offense is having spurts. Defense with the bend don’t break. Hopefully put more points before half

Yes play-calling was atrocious

I'm on the road and joining late
Why did Mills start?
By worldblee on 09.28.19 7:24pm
Costello injured his thumb first quarter of last game vs Oregon

Hey atleast we held on to win this one
Might be our last win of the year by the sign of things. Mills was hot and then had the slump because of playcalling
By layman on 09.28.19 7:44pm
At least Stanford avoided a bad loss
And Mills seemed to play well, so it’s better than KJ with the injured hand…

Nah it's Oregon state, next week the real test
