Andrew Luck Knows Drowsiness is Red Alert
A nugget in this recap of the Stanford women's gymnastics team's win against Utah about Andrew Luck being in attendance to support his girlfriend led me to this "Sleeping Ladies" video, which was submitted as a group project for William C. Dement's wildly popular Sleep and Dreams class in 2009. Luck plays himself, a Stanford student who forgoes sleep to play FIFA soccer and watch 24 and Family Guy. If only the Heisman trophy runner-up was featured in the chorus, set to Beyonce's "Single Ladies." As Luck can attest, if there's one thing that every student who takes the class will remember, it's DROWSINESS IS RED ALERT. I'm glad Luck got his sleep debt in check in time for last season's incredible run. Here's to you, Dr. Dement. If you're tired then you've probably got a sleep debt...if you're tired then you've probably got a sleep debt... Good luck getting that out of your head today.
