Stanford Baseball Postseason Guide

The No. 21 Stanford baseball team begins play in double-elimination NCAA Regional action today in Fullerton, CA. If the Cardinal (30-20) defeats Kansas State (36-23), it will face the winner of tonight's second game, which features host Cal State Fullerton against Illinois, tomorrow at 8 p.m. If Stanford loses, it will play the loser of tonight's second game in an elimination game tomorrow at 4 p.m.

Stanford is making its 27th NCAA tournament appearance in the last 35 years under head coach Mark Marquess, who received some nice pub for the work he's done as a mentor both on and off the field for the baseball program's student athletes over the years. Marquess and the Cardinal hope that this year's trip to Fullerton is more successful than last year's, when Stanford went 0-2.
