Stanford's final game of the regular season will be a difficult one. On Saturday, Stanford will face the eighteenth ranked Arizona Wildcats at 1 PT on CBS.
Arizona has been one of the best PAC-12 teams over the past few years, and this year, the Wildcats have put together another great season by posting a 23-7 record going into Saturday's matchup. For Stanford to win, they'll need to play one of their best games of the season. Arizona has multiple weapons, but in particular, Stanford will need to shut down Ryan Anderson, who averages a double-double a game. Yet even if that happens, Arizona will still have Freshman guard Allonzo Trier, Senior guard Gabe York, and Senior center Kalb Tarczewski. Michael Humphrey will need to defend the low post well, and the guards will need to play lock down perimeter defense in order to win Saturday.
Recently, Dorian Pickens has stepped up for Stanford. In his last three games, Pickens has scored more than fifteen points. Pickens will need to have another good game in his home state to give Stanford a chance. Besides Pickens, Michael Humphrey and Rosco Allen have been dependable players all year, and Stanford will need to depend on them once again.
With experience and skill, Arizona will be a difficult foe for Stanford to beat. A win would be extremely beneficial for Stanford to regain momentum after the Arizona State loss. Support your Cardinal Saturday at 1 PT on CBS.
