Stanford Recruiting Roundup: Week 2 with the Cardinal commits

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

While the Cardinal engaged in quite a physical battle with the Wildcats, many of these high school studs took the field for another week of competition. Check out the results and stat lines from the future of Stanford football.

2017 Commits

QB Davis Mills - Greater Atlanta Christian School (Norcross, Ga.)

Mills' is expected to be out 3-4 months after surgery on his knee. Still, he watched from the sidelines as the Spartans pulled out a narrow 19-16 overtime victory over Westminster High School.

TE/DE Colby Parkinson - Oaks Christian HS (Westlake Village, Calif.)

More injury news swept through #CardClass17 as Parkinson was spotted on crutches after the 49-17 loss to St. Joseph's (Philadelphia) Prep. According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Parkinson and Lions head coach Jim Benkert both said after the game that it the injury was a severe high ankle sprain, and that they would know more after Parkinson visited the doctor. Stats were not readily available for this game, but he did reel in these two catches against the Eagles.

WR Osiris St. Brown - Mater Dei HS (Anaheim, Calif.)

St. Brown continues to be overshadowed by his younger brother this season. Osiris didn't find his way onto the stat sheet, while Amon-Ra caught three passes, including two touchdowns, for 113 yards. Mater Dei dominated Mayfair HS, 63-0.

DB Stuart Head - Etowah HS (Woodstock, GA)

The Etowah defensive effort to contain the Spartanburg running game yielded an interception for Head, setting up the Eagles' second score of the night in a 21-14 win. Head was also credited with eight tackles.

RB Sione Heimuli-Lund - Brighton HS (Salt Lake City, UT)

Brighton suffered their second defeat in as many weeks to American Fork High School, but Lund was again the star for the Bengals. Sione rushed for 157 yards on 14 carries, caught two passes for 19 yards, even returned three kicks for 81 yards. Stanford's lone running back commit of 2017 (so far) also got in on the defensive action, tallying two tackles.

TE Tucker Fisk - Davis Senior HS (Davis, Calif.)

Fisk's three catches for 52 yards were not enough as the Blue Devils lost their second game of the season, defeated by the Woodcreek Timberwolves, 31-21.

OL Drew Dalman - Palma HS (Salinas, Calif.)

Still reeling from a blowout loss last week, Dalman and the Chieftains hosted Saint Francis. Drew picked up at least one sack, which you can see for yourself in the video below (Go to minute mark 1:47).

However, Saint Francis came from behind to win a low-scoring barnburner, 8-7.

2018 Commits

QB Jack West - Saraland HS (Saraland, AL)

West saw his workload almost triple from last week's outing (10 attempts to 26), completing 14 passes for 133 yards and one touchdown pass. Sadly his two interceptions halted Saraland potential scoring drives and afforded the Daphne Trojans a 17-14 win
