Washington fans probably thought that Foster Sarell would stay in his home state of Washington. USC fans maybe believed that their coaching staff could convince Sarell to sign with the Trojans. But today, Stanford fans officially got the last laugh after Foster Sarell signed with the Cardinal.

Foster Sarell joins Stanford with a big body and big expectations. Standing at almost 6’7” and weighing over 300 pounds, Foster Sarell is a five-star offensive lineman coming from Graham-Kapowsin High School in Graham Washington, where he anchored an offense that averaged almost 50 points per game.

Sarell received offers from several elite programs including the Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Washington Huskies and plenty more. This young man could have played football anywhere in the country at just about any school he wanted to and Foster Sarell opted to make a 40-year decision by joining the Stanford Cardinal.

From “Five-star offensive tackle Foster Sarell commits to Stanford

“The Graham-Kapowsin (WA) High School five-star senior was thought to be leaning more towards staying in-state with coach Chris Petersen and the Huskies. However, Stanford has slowly gained traction as fellow Cardinal 2017 commits and Army All-Americans Davis Mills and Walker Little have been relentless in their personal recruiting efforts both this week and throughout the fall.”
