Regarding Keller Chryst's 5-0 run at the end of last season, nobody seems to realize that those five opponents were ranked defensively among the 128 FBS teams as follows:

AZ 114th

ORE ST 76th

ORE 126th

CAL 125th

RICE 124th

The offensive struggles prior to that had more to do with the offensive line getting manhandled, which in turn made Burn's job infinitely more difficult. Chryst didn't doing anything that Burns wasn't capable of doing..remember the game winning drive Burns led vs UCLA, which was one of the best i've seen at any level. Chryst simply had the benefit of going up against four of the worst defenses in the nation and a fifth that was ranked in the bottom 42%.
