Paulson Adebo has officially played his last game as a Stanford Cardinal. Adebo has opted out of the 2020 football season and is entering the 2021 NFL Draft.

Adebo penned a long note and thanked all those influencing his time on The Farm.

Adebo returned for his final season at Stanford, according to him ‘coming back and taking the field one more time repping the Stanford Cardinal with my brothers.”

His message stating how ‘2020 has not gone according to plan’ is certainly obvious but his plans to return for another run at finishing his Stanford career on the right foot were derailed by the coronavirus pandemic.

He went on to thank Coach Duane Akina, head coach David Shaw and everyone else along the way before stating his intentions to opt out of the 2020-21 football season and ultimately declaring for the 2021 NFL Draft.

Adebo is seen as one of the top cornerbacks available in next year’s draft and should absolutely be in the conversation for the first round, so this decision makes a ton of sense.

Congratulations on a great career, Paulson! Once a Cardinal, Always a Cardinal.

We know you’ll make Stanford proud.
