Stanford’s 10-game, Pac-12-only football schedule released

The Cardinal open the season with two road games before getting USC at home on October 10

The Stanford Cardinal have a 2020 football schedule.

This season, though, should look completely different not only at the onset, but certainly after everything is all said and done.

Slated to start on September 26, the Pac-12 announced every team’s 10-game, conference-only schedule for all 12 member universities this weekend. Stanford’s schedule starts on September 26 but doesn’t have a home game until October 10.

Per the Pac-12 CEO Group’s release:

Following the Pac-12 CEO Group’s July 10 decision to move to a Conference-only football schedule, the Pac-12 today unveiled a 10-game Conference-only schedule (available below as well as on structured to maximize flexibility, including the following features:

Season to commence on September 26 (normally Week 4), with the flexibility if necessary to commence on a later date if the situation warrants;

Each team will play five home and five road games;

Games that are unable to be played on their scheduled date can be made up in their bye weeks or in Week 12 (December 12), with the Pac-12 Football Championship Game, presented by 76®, now slated for December 18 or 19; and

The Pac-12 Football Championship Game, presented by 76®, will be held in a home-hosted model for 2020, with the Pac-12 and partners Allegiant Stadium and the Raiders, Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and MGM Resorts International agreeing to commence hosting of the Championship Game at Allegiant Stadium in 2021 for its two-year run in Las Vegas in order to ensure a successful launch of the inaugural event.

So, here’s how Stanford’s 2020 revised schedule stacks up, with all game times still to be determined:

Week 2, October 3, 2020 — @ Arizona State Sun Devils

Week 3, October 10, 2020 — vs USC Trojans


Week 5, October 24, 2020 — @ California Golden Bears (123rd Big Game)

Week 6, October 30, 2020 (Friday) — vs Washington State Cougars

Week 7, November 7, 2020 — @ UCLA Bruins

Week 8, November 14, 2020 — vs Oregon State Beavers

Week 9, November 21, 2020 — vs Colorado Buffaloes

Week 10, November 28, 2020 — @ Oregon Ducks

Week 11, December 5, 2020 — vs Arizona Wildcats
