Stanford opened their Women’s Pac-12 Basketball Tournament on Thursday with a commanding 92-53 win over USC in Las Vegas.

After racing out to a 23-5 lead in the 1st quarter, there was no looking back from the Cardinal, as they won the remaining three quarters over the Trojans, too.

Stanford had a balanced team effort in the win, with Ashten Prechtel posting a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way. Haley Jones and Hannah Jump each scored 14 points, and Jones also had 10 rebounds, to make quick work of USC, who missed their first eight shots in the game.

The Cardinal, which won the Pac-12 regular season title this season after Sabrina Ionescu took the mantle for a few years with Oregon, are expected to reach the final of the Pac-12 Tourney at the very least and beyond that a deep run in the NCAA Tournament. But first things first, as they will square off against Oregon State Friday in the Pac-12 Tournament semifinal. The game is scheduled for 5 pm PT on Pac-12 Networks, which you can watch on FuboTV.
