Harrison Phillips, the leader of the 2017 Stanford defense, declared for the 2018 NFL Draft on Thursday.
Phillips announced his decision on Twitter:
Phillips was a force for the Cardinal defense all season long, racking up 102 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
Phillips was named All-Pac-12 first team, FWAA All-America second team, and AP All-America third team.
CBS Sports ranks Phillips the #4 defensive tackle in the 2018 NFL Draft class.

Gonna miss the big fella!
But I’ve been arguing he would be a great run-stopper for the Raiders.

Great for Harrison.
The more DL’s we can send to the NFL the more we should be able to get. Glad to see his decision to come to Stanford worked out for him.

Salute the lionheart of the stanford D
Couldn’t be more happier to have a player like harry play for stanford. He is everything that is right in football and just a true inspiration for his off-the-field work.
The guy was thrown to the wolves when they had to burn his redshirt and then to get injured in the first game of 2015, he still got up and fought to get himself back to play. This season there were times when he seemed to be like the whole defense and still fought those innumerable double teams to make plays.
I am equally humbled by all his social work off the field. Managing academics with football and still devoting time to the community. Hats off young man. Wish him great success for the future.
PS: Glad to see him honored during the CFP halftime show

Sorry to see him go, but not too sorry.
He deserves this. Hope he’s a big success in the NFL!
