Finally, college basketball season is here. Johnny Dawkins and company have a fellow 2015 NIT team coming into town in Wisconsin-Green Bay. The reigning NIT champions are going to have to figure out how to win without their top 3 scorers (Chasson Randle, Anthony Brown, Stefan Nastic) from a season ago and also their top 2 rebounders (Nastic and Brown). Wisconsin-Green Bay also loses their top 2 scorers from a year ago, but a player to watch Carrington Love. Love is a rising senior and is finally ready to take over the team. He is a do all kind of guard. He can rebound, be pass first, or shoot first. Last year he averaged 10 ppg, 3 rpg, and 3, apg but he wasn't the focal point of the offense. Love is the player to watch especially since Stanford's backcourt is so weak.

This year expect the backcourt to struggle a bit, but this year should all be about the front court. Returning players such as Reid Travis, Rosco Allen, Michael Humphrey and Grant Verhoeven should provide Stanford with better play within the paint. Reid Travis has not lived up to his potential and this year he has the potential to break out. Remember Travis was one of the biggest recruits to come since the Lopez twins. Another player to look out for is Rosco Allen. Last year he hit 36% of his threes so this year teams will need to guard him out by the 3-point line which in turn stretches the floor. There is a lot of talent that is 6"7 or taller and Stanford should be able to open up the floor for slashers out on the wing. For Stanford to succeed this season, they need to find someone in the backcourt to step up and find a way to balance out the production in the frontcourt. Find out if Stanford can get it done against mid-major Wisconsin-Green Bay.
