Reviewing NCAA FBall mags, here's the ADP Rundown:
Bowls in picking order.
PLAYOFF Rd 1 (Thu, Dec. 31): OREG vs TCU or AUBN + OHST as #1
[Sure, Bama is in the hunt, but I don't like the Sabanites at ESPN]
> Flip coin on BAYL vs TCU -- winner goes to Playoff.
> Buckeyes could probably beat the NFL Browns. Scary good, again.
> Until Ducks lose twice, they will contend for a Playoff spot. Losing Mariota... they get Vern Adams. See OHST.
> OHST did just fine losing a Heisman level QB last season; ThankyuVerymuch.
FIESTA (Jan. 1) If Pac12 champ not in Playoff: OREG vs BOIS
> A two-loss Pac12 champ could get At-large Fiesta bid as Team #5. Def is main issue in Eugene; their Off backfield is still loaded.
> If STAN beats a top ten NDAM to finish, with just losses to USC and OREG, we look very good at 10-2. Imagine 11-1.
Any 12-1 Pac12 champ game winner goes to Playoff. Need SEC West to chew each other up again.
ROSE (Jan. 1): USC vs MIST
> Oddsmakers and TofRoses love local Trojans here; Sparty travels well. Battle of BrushHeads.
> Sept 19 STAN vs USC in Coliseum will carry ripples for Rose bids. Beat Trojans; Aim high.
> Pac12 champ game loser gets Roses, if winner goes to Playoffs.
ALAMO (Jan. 2) vs. Big 12: AZST or UCLA vs OKLA [STAN could land here also]
> UCLA Def could stop USC express; but will rookie Bruin QB learn fast?
HOLIDAY (Dec. 30) vs. Big Ten: STAN or UCLA vs NEBR
> Until we beat USC + OREG again (See 2011-13), we hang in second tier. We own UCLA.
> This season is a real test for Cardinal: Senior QB, better Offense; Solid D but last year's Def was best ever, IMO. Still, no excuses.
FFARMS (Dec. 26) vs. Big Ten: ZONA vs IOWA or PNST
> Other pundits have us back at Levi vs a Rustbelt muggle. Brrrrr. Downer. 9pm kickoff; Stupid. ESPN pushes the kickoff late for TV monopoly.
SUN (Dec. 26) vs. ACC: UTAH vs LOUV (or AZST here again)
> This is a better time slot (2pm ET) than FFarms for sure; and same payout. Utes in the mix.
VEGAS (Dec. 19) vs. MWC: UCLA or WASH vs UTST… if Huskies are bowl eligible; UW might suck with no QB, big losses on Def.
> Could UCLA fall this far without QB Hundley?
> Consolation prize for a Pac12 also-ran to keep pads on.
> Somebody has to do the dishes… lowest payout on slate ($1.3M each)
CACTUS (Jan. 2) vs. Big 12: CAL vs OKST – over 100 passes likely thrown in this javelin contest
> Mop-up duty for Cal and Cowboys, but a decent payout at $3M. Weenies want any bowl.
On the sofa with suds: WAST, ORST, COLO
