As the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine comes to a close, the last of the six Cardinal prospects perform in Indianapolis. Stanford linebacker Blake Martinez had his workout Sunday.

In his senior season, Martinez played at an All-American level. He led the Cardinal in tackles, 4.5 of them being sacks, and had three interceptions to top it off. Stanford has had its share of impressive linebackers over the years, including Chase Thomas, Trent Murphy, and Shayne Skov. Blake Martinez is no exception to this.

Height: 6'2"
Arm Length: 31 5/8"
Weight: 237 lbs.
Hands: 10 7/8"

40 Yard Dash:
Martinez ran a 4.71, placing him 11th among all linebackers. This was defiantly underwhelming considering his size and performance on the field.

Bench Press:
Martinez tied with four others for 5th place at the bench press with a decent 22 reps. Again, a bit of a letdown.

3 Cone Drill:
Finishing with a 6.98 at the 3 cone solidified his agility and made up for his previous placements in the other drills.

20 Yard Shuttle:
Blake Martinez tied with Darron Lee (Ohio State) for 3rd with a 4.20 at the 20 yard shuttle. In comparison to Shayne Skov and Trent Murphy, Blake Martinez lines up to them similarly in terms of stats and results. Both individuals are currently making impacts on their respected teams.

Although there are very little negative things to say about any Stanford product, Blake Martinez had a mediocre combine. Martinez wasn't an all-around top performer, however many say he is better than what he displayed. NFL scouts will continue to praise Blake Martinez as he heads into Stanford's Pro Day on March 17.

Wherever Blake Martinez gets drafted this April, there's no doubt he will have a significant impact in the years to follow. Like his former Stanford teammate Shayne Skov, Martinez is not expected to make any sort of immediate impact, however over time he could develop into a solid NFL linebacker.
