I've got more high school action coming your way. Which of these commits had good weeks on the gridiron?
2017 Commits
QB Davis Mills - Greater Atlanta Christian School (Norcross, Ga.)
Mills was back zinging the ball around again this week, throwing for 260 yards and four touchdowns in Greater Atlanta Christian's debut in Region 7-AAA. The senior spread the ball around to eight different receivers, but seemed to find his favorite target, Harrison Sloan (5 catches, 106 yards, three touchdown receptions) more often than not. The Spartans are now 4-1 and undefeated in region play.
TE/DE Colby Parkinson - Oaks Christian HS (Westlake Village, Calif.)
Oaks Christian has been in a number of shootout games this season, but hasn't been on the losing side of the scoreboard in any of those. In their Friday skirmish against Murrieta Valley, the Lions couldn't keep pace in a game which totaled a whopping 132 points scored, a 70-62 loss. Oaks Christian is now 3-2 on the year.
Of course, Parkinson is still nursing his ankle injury and did not play. However, reports suggest the five-star Army All-American is making significant progress towards making his return to the field, signaling good news could be on the horizon for one of Oaks Christian's top talents.
WR Osiris St. Brown - Mater Dei HS (Anaheim, Calif.)
St. Brown added four catches for 48 yards and a touchdown to his ledger for the season on Friday as Mater Dei blanked Edison, 42-0. The Monarchs continue to march along with an unblemished 5-0 record and don't seem to be looking back.
DB Stuart Head - Etowah HS (Woodstock, GA)
Head and the Eagles observed a bye week before their matchup this Friday with Cherokee HS. Up to this point, Etowah has accrued a 4-1 record.
RB Sione Heimuli-Lund - Brighton HS (Salt Lake City, UT)
Lund rushed for 103 yards and two scores on ten carries. The Brighton HS captain is 80 yards away from 1,000 for the season (921). However, the Bengals are still searching for their second win after they were defeated by Jordan HS, 33-31. Brighton is 1-5 and 1-2 in region play. Lund also added five tackles (four solo) from his outside linebacker spot.
TE Tucker Fisk - Davis Senior HS (Davis, Calif.)
Fisk caught a first half touchdown pass on his way to 115 yards receiving as Davis stunned Northern California No. 2 Elk Grove HS on a last second field goal, 16-14. The game was one of many games across the nation helping to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in their Touchdowns Against Cancer campaign in the month of September. Davis, now 1-3 and 1-0 in Delta League play, won their first game of the season after losing their first three games.
OL Drew Dalman - Palma HS (Salinas, Calif.)
Palma had a bye week, but gets right back to it on Friday with a matchup against Everett Alvarez HS.
2018 Commits
QB Jack West - Saraland HS (Saraland, AL)
West threw a 14-yard TD pass to open the scoring for the Spartans, but the rest of the night didn't fall in Saraland's favor. The junior went 10-of-17 for 95 yards but added two interceptions, giving him six on the year, to just five touchdowns. The signal caller sustained an undisclosed injury on the final drive, but head coach Jeff Kelly was candidly optimistic about West's condition after the game. Saraland is 3-3 overall.
