2002 Big Game Program: Cal Ends Stanford Streak Behind Igber's 226 Yards

2002_bg_medium

After seven glorious years, Stanford's streak of Big Game wins came to an end with a giant thud at Memorial Stadium. Joe Igber ran for 226 yards and Kyle Boller didn't throw three interceptions, as Cal stomped Stanford, 30-7. The Cardinal's only points came on a Kyle Matter touchdown pass to Teyo Johnson on Stanford's opening drive. After the game, first-year head coach Buddy Teevens remarked, "We learned we don't want to go through it again."
