It is just the media trying to stoke interest in an otherwise boring draft. And to make matters worse, the Peyton Manning/Tim Tebow/bountygate stories are competing what little interest there is in what was already a dull draft. Other than Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III, what else is there draft-related to talk about? Alabama and LSU defensive players? Whoopee!

It isn’t just Hoge. Several other guys in the media who desperately need ratings and web page loads are “suddenly re-evaluating” Luck and Griffin also. I can’t wait until the Colts sign Luck - which they can do at any time - to put an end to this nonsense. Griffin III is an outstanding prospect who would be the #1 overall pick in a lot of years, but not in a year when the best QB prospect since Manning is on the board.
