Beat the Hawks.

It is official, we're heading to Pasadena. Beat the Hawks! I'm going hawk hunting right now.

The Furd and the Hawks have 1 common game shared: The Furd lost at Northwestern 16-6, while the Hawks destroyed the Cats 40-10 at that same venue.

I have defended the Furd all year long for a difficult non-conference schedule, with that annual rivalry game with ND and the road game at 9:00 a.m. against Northwestern. Furd schedule UCF when they finished the year ranked #10, and beat Baylor in the Fiesta Bowl. Nobody thought UCF would go 0-12 this year.

Either way, they had the best schedule out of any team in the nation, and going 11-2, 8-1 in a parity 9 game conf. schedule plus a title game rematch is impressive. Not to mention, ND and NW with that schedule.

The committee did respect the Furd, having them bypass the Ohio State in the final rankings. However, there were just not enough spots to include Furd in the playoff. And the committee could not justify overlooking Furd's 2 losses to the Final Four teams, none of which have more than 1 loss.

That being said, Iowa was given huge respect too for running the table in the regular season before losing to Michigan State. Iowa was rewarded over the Ohio State, to my surprise given that the Ohio State's brand name would have been enough to put them over Iowa, as shown in my previous fan post.

That being said, I am super excited for the Rose Bowl. We are champions of the 100th edition of the Pac-12 conference. FUCK YEAH!

With an impressive win, the Furd could finish the year possibly ranked #3 or #4. Beat the Hawks!
